Ongoing projects > Molecular and cellular determinants of zebrafish heart regeneration

We are using microarray experiments to analyze the transcriptional profile of the zebrafish heart at different stages of regeneration. We are also using a model of myocardial infarction in the mouse to test whether the genes and signaling pathways associated with heart regeneration in zebrafish may improve the regenerative response of the heart in mammals.
